Are you a Procurement lawyer with a passion for delivering innovative solutions? An Insurance provider requires a Procurement Lawyer to service their technology and data protection contracts

Your Role:

As the Procurement Lawyer, you'll play a pivotal role in:

  • Contract Management: Overseeing, reviewing, and negotiating key contracts to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Data Protection & GDPR
  • Framework Agreements: Developing and managing strategic agreements with subcontractors.
  • External Counsel: Collaborating with legal experts across various jurisdictions.
  • Legal Awareness: Educating business and project teams on contractual matters.
  • Corporate Law: Supporting the Head of Legal on diverse legal issues, including corporate, data protection, compliance, and employment law.
  • Team Development: Contributing to the growth and visibility of the legal team.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Procurement Law Expertise: 3 years plus  of experience in construction law, ideally with a mix of contentious and non-contentious work.
  • Strong Drafting Skills: Excellent ability to draft clear and concise legal documents.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the construction industry and its unique legal challenges.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication with both legal and non-legal colleagues.
  • Self-Motivation: A proactive and results-oriented approach.
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with others.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in relevant IT tools.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • In-House Experience: Prior experience working in an in-house legal department.
  • Saas Experience: Exposure to  procurement contracts 
  • Data Protection & GDPR
