HR OPERATIONS MANAGER

About the Position

Our client, a prominent top tier law firm have just brought a very interesting new HR Operations Manager role to the market. This is a diverse and meaty role with a wide remit that will join a busy and supportive HR team

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of all HR operational activity across the firm, providing strong, visible leadership to direct team members.
  • Ensure the HR operations function continues to deliver high and consistent standards of service, whilst compliant with relevant employment legislation.
  • Provide support and advice on a wide range of complex and specialist people, payroll and benefit issues.
  • Continuously review the effectiveness of key operating procedures within the HR operational sphere, implementing change to improve service delivery and drive efficiencies.
  • Oversee the performance management process at the firm, working to continuously improve processes and increase engagement.
  • Provide input into organisational policies and procedures, as appropriate and ensure that they are reviewed on a regular basis.
  • Manage the monthly payroll cycle (with internal firm support), liaising with the firm's dedicated outsourced provider, anticipating any issues ahead of agreed pay dates.
  • Maintain up-to-date employee records in the HR system, ensuring adherence to all applicable privacy and data protection regulations.
  • Explore technology solutions to optimise workflow and enhance the successful working of the HR operations model.
  • Collaborate with other departments to create an integrated approach to HR operations.
  • Manage and develop the firm's HR Advisor and HR Assistant, defining clear roles and responsibilities and consider future development opportunities.

Experience/Requirements

  • 3rd level qualification in Human Resource Management or Business
  • At least five years' HR Operations management experience, managing a team with proven strong leadership skills.
  • An experienced HR professional with a focus on process improvement and service excellence.
  • Experience working in a professional services organisation is an advantage.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Strong communicator, problem solver and project manager.
  • Experience working with HR systems – a working knowledge of People XD is advantageous.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
  • You have change management experience to lead and drive transformation initiatives.
  • Experience operating with agility in a fast-paced environment and can work with cross-functional stakeholders to embed a culture of risk awareness.
  • Work under pressure and to strict deadlines, while maintaining a clear focus on quality and efficiency.

Remuneration Package

€60,000 - €70,000 plus benefits
