Sustainable Education Executive

Public Sector - Dublin or Cork or Dundalk or Sligo - 12 Month Contract - €50,000 per annum - Hybrid (2-3 days onsite/WFH) 

About the Position

Make a Difference in Sustainability Education!

Our client is seeking a passionate and experienced Programme Executive to join their Education and Youth Team. In this role, you will play a key role in developing and delivering innovative programs that empower young people to be leaders in climate action.

Key Responsibilities

This is more than just a Programme Executive role, you'll be a strategic educational partner, encouraging and developing young people and helping shape Ireland's energy future.

Here's a glimpse into your day:
  • Develop and implement outreach programs to raise awareness and drive positive behavioural change among young people on sustainable energy use.
  • Manage existing initiatives, including evaluation and impact assessment.
  • Plan and execute promotional activities to ensure program success.
  • Foster collaboration among external resources to maximize expertise and experience.
  • Build and maintain relationships with government departments, educational institutions, and NGOs in the education sector.
  • Represent the client at national and international forums on sustainable energy and environmental education.
  • Track progress and evaluate program effectiveness

Experience/Requirements

  • A degree (minimum Level 7 NFQ or higher) in Energy/Environmental Management, Education, Marketing, or Business.
  • Minimum five years of relevant experience in the sustainability or education sector.
  • Strong understanding of the Irish education system and its intersection with sustainability.
  • Passion for the environment and sustainability education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Top-notch organisational, project management, budgeting, and tracking capabilities.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Previous experience in the education sector with youth engagement.
  • Fluency in Irish.
  • Relationship building and networking skills.
  • Creativity and innovation for program development and delivery.

Remuneration Package

  • Candidates should note that this is a fixed salary of 50,000 per annum. This will not be subject to negotiation. 
  • 29 days annual leave
  • Hybrid working model (3 days onsite on average, but flexibility will be required)
