We were delighted to be sponsors and exhibitors of the PyCon 2016 conference on the 4th and 5th November in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Golden Lane.
The 2016 PyCon Ireland event took place over the weekend in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Golden Lane, Dublin. Brightwater were delighted to return as sponsors of the event again this year. Over the seven years that the conference has taken place in Ireland, the numbers have steadily grown with over 400 attendees at this year’s event.
The two day conference comprised of talks, tutorials and workshops based around this year’s theme of data science tools in python, machine learning, data visualisation and cleaning data. There were over 30 talks from both local and international leaders from the open source community.
As sponsors and exhibitors at the conference Brightwater had a stall where the IT team were on hand to provide information and advice about careers. With great numbers in attendance the exhibition area was buzzing and lively and provided an excellent opportunity to network with Pythonistas at every level.

Victoria Martinez de la Cruz won a Samsung Galaxy tablet in our prize draw. The winning team called 'not a fix' at Saturday night’s table quiz took home a hamper of wine.
