Project Engineer/Executive – Offshore Renewable Energy

About the Company

We are currently looking to recruit a Project Energy Engineer based in Dublin. This an opportunity to work with on some of the most important projects in Ireland. This client is leading the way in increasing the knowledge and awareness of offshore energy across the country and are making huge efforts to ascertain and develop renewable energy projects for small and large energy consumers in Ireland.  They focus on Research and Development in the areas of energy management.
With recent developments in the renewable energy sector, this company is looking to create a team of renewable energy specialists who can work on large scale policy change and development to help us hit our 2030 climate action targets.

About the Position

The Project Engineer will plan and develop offshore renewable energy projects in line with the expectations of clients.  You will represent the company in high level meetings related to offshore energy.  You will implement policies, changes, and projects in the renewable energy sector to assist in  achieving carbon reduction targets. Research and Development and policy management is a large aspect of this role. Working closely with the engineering, facilities and renewable energy teams, you will identify offshore related project and help to promote these programs to senior management. You will also be helping with Ireland’s 2030 climate targets. This is the ideal opportunity to start a very rewarding career in the area of energy.

Experience/Requirements 

Within this role you will be involved in

  • Policy Development

  • Represent the company from an Offshore Energy perspective

  • Target setting, monitoring and Obligation Party liaison

  • Alternative Policy Measures.

  • Support the team across the implementation on these projects and policies.

  • Educate clients on best practice in the industry of offshore energy.

  • Represent the client at industry events as an expert in energy management

  • Support the QMS in relation to energy

  • Work and support the onsite teams from a technical perspective


For this role you are required to have;

  • A min or 3 years experience in energy related projects.

  • Qualification on Energy Management

  • You MUST be degree qualified

  • Experience in the offshore energy sector is advantageous.

  • Experience with BIM/Autocad is an advantage

  • Experience in project management

  • Health & Safety experience

  • Full clean driving license



Remuneration Package

The client offers an excellent package along with benefits. They also offer the opportunity to work in one of the most important sectors to Irish society. They will assist with training where needed. They operate a hybrid WFH policy. This is an 18 month FTC with a view to a permanent role.
