Design and Project Manager – Construction and Roofing
About the Company
We are currently working with one of Europe’s specialist contractors who focus on project management in the area of roofing and cladding. Their projects span the commercial, medical, pharmaceutical, industrial, recreational and transport industries. They have an extensive team who are experts in their areas and their client’s area based all over Europe. They are currently looking to recruit a Design and Project Manager with experience in construction projects, to work on some of Europe’s most exciting development projects. Health and Safety is a major focus of this company so experience in fire protection is an advantage.
About the Position
This position focused on Design and Project Management of large commercial and industrial programs, budget management, risks and issues related to building and roofing designs.
- Preparation of engineering designs
- Engineering studies using industry leading software.
- Preparation of equipment specifications.
- Technical evaluation related materials.
- Review fire protection specifications.
- Technical report writing.
- Review BOQ’s (Bills of Quantities)
- Development and agreement of project baselines (scope, cost, time)
- External and Internal Design Team Management
- Represent the company to the client in all aspects of the projects.
- Manage construction teams and project schedules.
- Technical engagement with external consultants, contractors, utilities and planning authorities
- CAPEX management
Experience/Requirements
For this role you are required to have
-
5 years’ experience in a design position

Ideally experience in the roofing and cladding sector

Knowledge of the technical specification design function
-
Project Management experience
-
Autocad and design review experience
-
Building Services experience
-
Bid and Tender experience.

Client and sub-contractor management
-
A reputation for project delivery
