As the company is an Irish tax resident company, it is entitled to reduce the foreign withholding tax suffered on the dividend and interest income in line with double tax treaties and domestic tax legislation.

About the job:
The Tax Reclaims Associate role is to manage the tax relief at source and tax reclaims service offered by the group.
The role sits in the Group Technical Services team, who provide in-house expertise on all tax, legal & regulatory matters relating to the groups products. The role reports to the Head of Group Technical Services. 
Core responsibilities:
  • Analysing and requesting income reports received from custodians for submission to local tax agents.
  • Reviewing, downloading and requesting payment chain documents, based on income reports received, from custodians and sub-custodians.
  • Liaising with custodians, various tax offices, internal departments to finalise tax reclaims submissions.
  • Developing and maintaining a record of custodians including contact details, portal access details and payment chain documents outstanding to effectively monitor and process tax reclaims.
  • Become familiar with local legislation, for each jurisdiction in which we may avail of tax reclaims.
  • Investigate any developments and analyse how they affect products and relevant documentation.
Experience:
  • Experience in either accounting or a corporate tax department.
  • Experience working on corporate multinational companies.
  • Some understanding of tax compliance or reporting
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Must be meticulous, detail oriented and organised.
  • Ability to work independently and with across functional teams.
  • Self-motivated
  • Have the ability to be flexible while working with time constraints and deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects
