Legal Secretary Opportunity - Established Dublin Law Firm
Do you thrive in a fast-paced legal environment? Our client based in Dublin 2 are seeking a highly organised and motivated Legal Secretary to join their well-respected law firm. This position will be based fully onsite and you'll provide support to a solicitor specialising in conveyancing, probate, and some litigation matters.
About the Position
You'll be a part of a small but busy team. Your typical day to day will vary, but as a standard, you'll start each day by checking emails and voicemails, managing the lawyer's calendar, and scheduling appointments. This might involve coordinating with clients, witnesses, and other professionals. You'll prepare legal documents based on dictation, handwritten notes, or existing templates. This could include formatting contracts, wills, letters, or court filings. You'll also be responsible for filing these documents and keeping the case files organised.
You'll be the first point of contact for clients, answering questions, scheduling meetings, and relaying messages to the lawyer, while you will also handle some basic client communication.
Throughout the day, you'll handle various administrative duties like photocopying, scanning documents, and managing office supplies. Overall, the role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. You'll need to be adaptable and efficient to keep up with the fast-paced legal environment
Key Responsibilities
Manage electronic dictation and correspondence
Schedule appointments, maintain calendars, and track deadlines
Prepare and format legal documents
Assist with client communication and file management
Perform other administrative duties as needed
Experience/Requirements
Previous experience in a legal secretarial role
Excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; legal software experience a plus
Team player with a positive attitude
Remuneration Package
Salary range based on experience €33,000-€40,000
