About the Position

We're seeking a seasoned Business Analyst to join our PMO team and play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business and technology. You'll be responsible for the entire requirements lifecycle, from elicitation and analysis to documentation and verification.


Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to understand their needs and transform them into clear, concise business requirements.
  • Employ various techniques like interviews, workshops, and data analysis to gather and synthesize information.
  • Develop and maintain essential project artifacts like Project Request Forms, Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), and Use Cases.
  • Champion the requirements management process, ensuring its continuous improvement.
  • Craft the Business Requirements Definition (BRD) and other project-specific documentation.
  • Secure business sign-off on requirements and collaborate with architects to define technical requirements.
  • Trace and monitor requirements throughout the development lifecycle, identifying and escalating any discrepancies.
  • Contribute to the design of business solutions, including test strategies, plans, and scripts.
  • Participate in testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and post-implementation support.
  • Document system scenarios and their impact on various organizational aspects, aiding in change management planning.
  • Design and deliver user manuals and training materials for new/updated solutions and processes.


Experience/Requirements

 
  • A degree in a related field (or equivalent experience) and a strong foundation in Business Analysis methodologies like Six Sigma or Lean.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Expertise in process mapping.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies like Prince2 or PMI.
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and IT architecture.
  • A mastery of Microsoft Office Suite and proficiency in Visio.
  • Proven track record of applying IT solutions to optimize business processes.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • A focus on delivering projects within scope, deadline, and budget constraints.
  • Exceptional time management, organization, and planning abilities with a keen eye for detail.
Ideally you will also have experience with mind mapping and requirement gathering tools, and knowledge of transportation processes and systems.
