Learning and Development Executive

About the Position

Our client is a marketing body based in Dublin city centre are currently recruiting for a Learning and Development Executive to join their HR team. This is a long-term contract with a great hybrid working model of two days in the office and reports into the Head of HR and works very closely with the CEO

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the senior management team and Head of HR to create a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to analyse learning and organisational capability development needs.
  • Deploy a selection of development strategies and initiatives to support business needs, including but not limited to.
    1. Policy and procedures for L&D, Performance Management, Talent Management, succession planning.
    2. Develop an annual training plan to assist in meeting business objectives.
    3. Execute the leadership and management development programmes that support the learning strategy of Tourism Ireland.
    4. Manage interventions and supports for individuals such as learning & development needs assessments, coaching, mentoring, 360-degree feedback processes
    5. Evaluate current learning and development activities to determine their effectiveness. Make recommendations that would include looking at ‘Best Practice’ approaches to learning, blended learning and online skills-based training.
    6. Make optimum use of data and analytics for management reporting and to inform future activities and policy decisions.
    7. Manage the learning and development budget.
  • Oversee the performance review process from a quality and compliance perspective providing support and advice to line managers and staff.
  • Explore and evaluate online learning systems, resources, social media and other digital community learning platforms for deployment.
  • Manage and coordinate of the Graduate Development Programme.
  • Manage and coordinate the Global Wellbeing Programme.
  • Ensure that cost effective training is planned and delivered making the best use of internal/external resources available.

Experience/Requirements

  • Educated to degree level in business, HR or other relevant discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years learning and development experience
  • Strong project management skills
  • Membership of CIPD, IITD or other relevant professional body.
  • Significant experience with different learning and development methods
  • Experience in working with tenders
  • Experience with coordinating and collaborating with external vendors and instructors.
  • Ability to influence and guide stakeholders at all levels internally and externally.
  • Tech savvy and excited by new tools and technologies.

Remuneration Package

€55,000 - €65,000 plus benefits
