Assistant Finance Executive

My client, based in Dublin’s city centre, is a leading semi-state body that partner with established companies, both large and small, working with them every step of the way to achieve a smooth, fast and successful set-up of their operations in Ireland.
 

About the Position

They are seeking to employ a full time Assistant Finance Executive. The ideal candidate will have gained experience in assisting in all aspects of the financial reporting process and will work as part of the Financial Management team to ensure that both internal and external monthly and yearly reporting deadlines are met.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • To process and pay creditors invoices in accordance with the provisions of Revenue regulations, Prompt Payment of Accounts and eRCT legislation.
  • To ensure that the Procurement procedures are observed and adhered to.
  • To ensure that suppliers are paid within the time frame permitted under internal provisions for meeting the requirements of the 15-day Prompt Payments Act.
  • To prepare payment runs for checking and authorisation and following authorisation process payment runs.
  • To make statutory returns of PSWT and eRCT.
  • Set up and amendment of creditor accounts and supplier details for approval. Assist with supplier queries.
  • Process credit notes and reconcile supplier accounts statements on an ongoing basis and resolving creditor invoice queries on an ongoing basis.
  • Deal with team members / supplier / client queries efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure that procedure manuals are regularly updated.
  • Continue to keep Property team members up to date with Financial Management requirements.

Experience/Requirements

  • A minimum of Diploma/Level 7 Finance qualification is essential. Pursuing an Accounting qualification would be an advantage.
  • A full driving licence would be an advantage.
  • Proficiency and experience in the use of Word, Excel and Financial Accounting software together with a good understanding of Information Management.
  • Team player with initiative and ability to solve problems.
  • Ability to continually improve and develop in all areas of financial reporting, financial processing and financial control.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.

Remuneration Package

  • Salary €29,700
