About the Company
Our client, a leading educational body based in North Dublin are looking to recruit an Internal Audit Manager to join their team
.

About the Position
Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit the IA Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of the annual plan of internal audit activity. This is a commercial opportunity and will involve working with key stakeholders throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Conducting audit assignments from initiation to completion
Preparing detailed plans for performing individual audits including the identification of key risks and controls, determination of audit objectives, and development of appropriate audit programmes.
Assist in the development and execution of a comprehensive risk based annual Audit Plan.
Responsibility for the audit issues follow up process, working with management to update the status of the previous internal and external findings on a quarterly basis, auditing resolved issues and preparing the quarterly status report.
Responsibility for the delivery of the Continuous Auditing Programme of work
Promote the value of internal audit with a focus on continuous improvement and awareness across the University with respect to internal control, risk and corporate governance.
Develop and maintain productive business relationships across all units in the organisation
Develop professional capability through on the job and internal and external training.
Utilise best practice processes and tools for auditing including data analytic.
Perform special audit-related projects as assigned.
Experience/Requirements
A professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA) or the IIA
At least 3 years Internal Audit/Audit experience
Public sector audit experience an advantage but not essential
Experience of controls testing and/or Internal Auditing
Excellent technical audit and accounting skills
Experience of managing audits/projects
Strong stakeholder Management skills
