ICA Manager (Instrumentation, Control, Automation) – Asset Management
About the Company
The continued development of Ireland’s water network is essential to Ireland continues growth economic development. We are currently working with one of Ireland’s leading suppliers who manage the asset operations of the Irish water network. They are currently looking to recruit an Business Planning Manager/Asset Manager who can help them in maximising their assets potential and lifespan and maintain constant delivery of supply through thorough preventative maintenance programs.
This role will be instrumental in the expansion and development of the water network and for this group to meet their regulatory standards. Maintaining a large portfolio of long-life assets is an integral aspect of their success.
About the Position
Working closely with all levels of management, you will become the main central support in providing asset management and reliability engineering and expertise in the area of ICA Management. You will assess the current strategy and processes and create and develop a robust division who are experts in the area of maintenance, process engineering, project improvement and water/wastewater programs. You will also work closely with the engineering team to ensure a improvements are developed across the network.
Experience/Requirements
Within this role you are will:
• A strong Project Management background is essential for this role.
Management of planned and reactive instrumentation, controls and automation (ICA) operations activities across Ireland
• Reliability Engineering across the ICA aspects of assets
• Manage a team of ICA engineer to deliver upgrades and projects in a safe and effective manner.
• Manage all budgets allocated to the team including approval of purchase
• Develop and grow the skills of all team members through coaching, training and performance management
• Ensure the development of standard operating procedures that maximise quality of output, efficiency and support the adoption of processes
• Ensuring policy implementation and best practice standards are applied
• Support in the coordination and participate in incident and emergency response as required, ensuring all health and safety standards are met
• Monitoring and reporting KPIs for processes over which you have responsibility
• Manage field based teams, preparing and delivering internal communications and information updates.
For this role you are required to have:

8 years experience in an Asset Management role

Utility experience is an advantage
-
Experience in Instrumentation, Controls and Automation.

Experience of plant maintenance and asset management principles
-
An ability to educate people in the area of asset management
-
Strong stake holder management skills.

Experience in engineering and construction
-
Experience in creating innovative ideas and solutions
-
Utilities experience in the areas of Water or similar utilities is desired
-
A full drivers license
