Senior Finanical Planning Analyst

Company Overview:
Senior Financial Planning Analyst Role with a leading city centre-based energy provider. Commercial opportunity with flexible hybrid working. Initially being offered on a one year contract basis.


Role Purpose
Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance you will be responsible for the delivery of critical management reporting outputs, ensuring high-quality, actionable insights that align with strategic goals. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical, commercially-minded finance professional with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Accountabilities
•    Oversee the production of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual KPI reports.
•    Deliver comprehensive monthly performance reports, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and insightful analysis.
•Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders in the organisation, driving the delivery of Group-level financial insights and analyses.
•Lead the financial relationship with Investor Relations and Corporate Affairs, ensuring consistency and alignment of market-sensitive reporting.
•Partner with the Strategy Manager and Head of Commercial Finance to develop robust five-year financial forecasts, coordinating across business units and challenging assumptions to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience
•Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with at least 5 years’ experience.
• Proven experience in FP&A within a dynamic, global organization.
• Strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of business performance drivers.
•Proficiency in ERP systems and Business Intelligence tools.
•Results-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
