Overview:
Our client a leading SME in Cork close to Carrigaline are hiring a Company Accountant to join their team You will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the company's financial operations. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organisational skills, and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Financial Analysis: Evaluate financial performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvement.
Accounting Operations: Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
Tax Compliance: Manage tax filings, including VAT returns, PAYE/PRSI, and corporate tax.
Credit Control: Monitor customer accounts, follow up on overdue payments, and implement collection strategies.
Payroll Administration: Process payroll, manage employee benefits, and ensure compliance with employment regulations.
Ad-hoc Projects: Assist with various financial projects and analyses as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
