Financial Accountant

About the Company

Our client a leading reinsurance company based in south Dublin have a Financial Accountant job opportunity for a qualified Accountant. As a Financial Accountant within the team, you will have responsibility for supporting the internal and external reporting requirements, variance analysis and obtaining explanations on key variances.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reporting processes relating to the EMEA legal entities. This includes journal processing, reconciliations, analysis of results as well as internal and external reporting.

• Prepare and analyse statutory financial statements for legal entities.

• Prepare any regulatory returns relating to the relevant local regulatory bodies.

• Work with Compliance and Legal teams to ensure that all statutory legal entity documentation is completed and filed appropriately and within deadlines.

• Support Global Tax with legal entity tax calculations as well as liaising with Global Tax on any legal entity requirements.

• Support with the external audit of legal entities.

Experience/Requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CPA) 
• Experience in the Insurance / Reinsurance industry preferred.
• Ideally trained in a Big 4 firm
• Advanced Excel skills
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and an investigative nature
• Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise
