About the Position

You will be part of an infrastructure team that supports critical services across a broad range of functions, including maintaining existing systems, release and configuration management, disaster recovery planning, vendor relations, security infrastructure oversight, and compliance with standards. The team plays a pivotal role in demand management, capacity planning, and ensuring operational interdependencies are effectively managed. They also oversee data center operations and infrastructure continuity for the organization.
As the Cyber Response Team Technical Lead, reporting to the Operational Infrastructure Manager, you will lead efforts to respond effectively to cyber incidents, safeguard digital assets, and uphold the organisation’s reputation.


Key Responsibilities


Cyber Response Leadership:
  • Coordinate the cyber response team during security incidents.
  • Manage technical investigations to identify the root cause and impact of cyber incidents.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Technical Expertise and Process Improvement:
  • Evaluate, implement, and manage cybersecurity tools for incident detection, prevention, and response.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to strengthen the team’s response capabilities.
Collaboration and Reporting:
  • Foster strong working relationships with IT colleagues to optimize cooperation and efficiency.
  • Prepare and share detailed incident reports with relevant stakeholders.
Continuous Learning and Development:
  • Stay informed on IT and cybersecurity developments to apply leading practices.
General Duties:
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across the organization to achieve shared objectives.
  • Promote and uphold health and safety commitments across the business and its supply chain.
  • Support transformation programs and contribute to achieving organization-wide goals.
  • Provide leadership to the team, including coaching and development to unlock potential and drive results.

Experience/Requirements

 

  • A relevant third-level qualification and/or accreditation (or equivalent experience).

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in utilities, water, or similar industries (desirable).

  • Demonstrated people management experience, including change management and conflict resolution.

  • Experience in coaching and developing technical skills in others.

  • A proactive, results-oriented individual with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Adaptability to align with evolving business strategies and priorities.

  • Ability to identify improvement areas and effectively implement solutions.
