An international insurance organization providing insurance through its licensed and regulated entities in multiple jurisdictions, is seeking to recruit a junior IT manager in Dublin. The company is publicly listed and has a very strong financial position, with significant premium volume and capital reserves.
About the Position
The organization is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented junior IT Manager to join its IT team. This role involves managing Azure cloud infrastructure and providing end-user support. The ideal candidate will have strong Azure administration expertise, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
The position reports to the Head of IT. Approx half of your time will be spent on project work and the ideal candidate will be someone who can spot opportunities for improvements and deliver them.
The Role
Azure Administration:

Oversee and manage installed systems and infrastructure within Azure.

Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, applications, and system management tools.

Ensure continuous availability of technical resources.

Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.

Develop and maintain custom scripts to enhance system efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

Contribute to the design and implementation of information and operational support systems.
End User Support:

Provide first and second-level support to end users.

Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.

Assist with setting up and configuring new user accounts and workstations.

Deliver training and support for IT systems and applications.
Collaboration and Communication:
The Candidate

Demonstrated experience in IT administration, particularly with Azure.

Strong cloud computing expertise (preferably Azure).

Familiarity with virtualization and containerization.

Experience with monitoring systems and scripting.

Solid networking knowledge.

A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
