About the Company
We are currently looking to recruit an Ecologist with experience in Environment and Heritage, Water, Habitat and Sustainability, based in numerous locations across Ireland. This an opportunity to work on sone of Ireland most exciting expansion projects that will focus on the development of water infrastructure for recreational purpose. This client has a large engineering team who focus on safety in a water infrastructure environment and are looking to for Ecologists to assist them with the strategy into 2030. They are based in multiple locations across the country, so people are encouraged to apply if you have the related criteria for this role. They have numerous projects and can assign people to project in their locality however, their focus in on project based in Dublin .
They have a forward workload over the next 5 years and are constantly taking on new projects and programs to improve ecological awareness across Ireland. About the Position
Working closely with all levels of management, you will be involved in ecological projects related to the water infrastructure industry. You will be involved in EIA’s, feasibility, design, site and client management to hand over.
Experience/Requirements
Within this role you will be involved in

Ecological Impact Assessments and Habitats Directive Assessment reports
-
Project Management of infrastructure projects
-
Site visits to monitor installation
-
Feasibility studies
-
Maintenance and construction programs
-
Preparation of habitat maps using GIS software

Providing Technical back‐up and support on large projects
-
Experience in water related projects would be an advantage
For this role you are required to have;
These are essential criteria for this role. You must have all criteria below.
- A min of 3 years ecological engineering experience.
- Ecology related Degree
- A full Irish driving license
- Your own car
- The right to work in Ireland
- Experience in the water sector is a distinct advantage.
