Health, Safety and HR Officer 

About the Position

Our client are a leading provider of supply solutions, focusing on high-quality products and services to a wide variety of customers in a range of industries. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to play a key role in maintaining and enhancing safety standards across a well- established growing business. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety Management: Develop, implement, and maintain Health and Safety management systems across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with Irish Health and Safety legislation.

  • Branch Inspections: Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify hazards, recommend solutions, and ensure adherence to company policies.

  • Training & Induction: Deliver effective Health and Safety training programs and inductions to employees, and other stakeholders.

  • Incident Reporting: Manage and report any accidents, incidents, or near-misses, ensuring proper investigation and follow-up actions are taken.

  • Compliance: Keep up-to-date with regulatory changes and ensure projects meet statutory Health and Safety requirements.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with Branch Managers and staff to foster a culture of safety excellence.
  • Documentation and Corporate Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inspections, training, audits, ESG reporting, and incident reports for internal and external review.

Experience/Requirements

  • A recognized qualification in Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).

  • Require a minimum of 3 years experience in a Health and Safety capacity, preferably in logistics.

  • Experience managing recruitment cycles along with assisting and understanding the payroll functions.
  • Preferred 1-2 years experience in a HR Administration setting.  
  • Strong knowledge of Irish Health and Safety regulations.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong project management skills and an ability to handle competing priorities.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ensure proper racking systems are installed, maintained and securely loaded to prevent accidents. Follow trip and fall prevention procedures by keeping walkways clear and promptly addressing hazards. 
  • Previous forklift experience required for safe material handling and transportation. ​​​​​​
  • MUST be able to travel to the different sites as required, this will be 50% of the role. 

  • Full clean driver’s license and own car is essential

Remuneration Package

€45,000- €55,000 plus benefits
