QA Automation Engineer
12 Month contract – Hybrid - Dublin

My client is a world leading company. This is a great opportunity to join a well-known and highly successful company based in Dublin city centre. This is a hybrid role and initially for 12 months.
About the Position
We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Quality Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and deployment of innovative product and service solutions. This role involves working closely with various teams, including architects, technical analysts, developers, data engineers, managers, and product owners, to ensure high-quality software delivery in an Agile Scrum environment.
Key Responsibilities
As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the software platform meets quality expectations by:

Developing and implementing QA strategies, including test plans and test designs.

Driving automated QA processes through hands-on involvement across all development areas.

Tackling complex QA automation challenges and enhancing automation frameworks.

Supporting and improving the defect lifecycle process, defining key quality metrics (e.g., defect injection rate, escape rate, test coverage).

Working with open-source test frameworks to build robust testing solutions.

Designing and managing QA environment strategies to ensure consistent quality across stakeholders.

Advocating for an automation-first approach across teams.
Experience/Requirements
Required Skills & Experience:
-
3+ years of experience in automated testing with Java.
-
2+ years of experience in cross-browser testing.
-
2+ years of experience working with relational databases.
-
2+ years of experience in an Agile development environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
-
3+ years of experience testing RESTful APIs.
-
Experience in the healthcare industry (a plus).
-
Familiarity with tools such as Maven, GitHub, and MySQL.
-
Experience testing React applications.
-
Proven experience working on complex, large-scale projects.

Background in software development.
Remuneration Package
A generous daily rate in line with experience will be on offer to suitable candidates.
