Financial Controller
Our client a leading organisation in the Pharma Industry are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Controller to join their growing company. This role will be responsible for all financial aspects of preparing and providing relevant information for company stakeholders, ensuring all financial and tax compliance obligations are met. You will work closely with and report directly to the Chief Financial Officer, contributing significantly to financial strategy and growth. This is a newly created position with the opportunity for progression. Very flexible hybrid working available.

Key Responsibilities:
•Preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
•Preparation of journals and all account reconciliations to support the management accounts.
•Preparation  of management account analyses and appropriate analytical review/analyses.   
•Conduct thorough reviews of management accounts with the CFO.
• Address and manage various management reporting requirements.
•Liaise with external statutory auditors, prepare comprehensive audit files, and address arising queries.
•Oversee VAT and Payroll tax compliance obligations, ensuring adherence to all regulations.
•Manage and oversee payroll administration.
•Collaborate with all departments and stakeholders in forecasting and budgeting processes.
•Maintain and optimize the company’s financial systems and processes to support current business operations and future growth.
•Manage and develop a team of Accounts Specialists.
•Provide comprehensive support to the CFO in the development and implementation of financial strategies.

Person Specification:
Qualifications:
•Fully qualified member of a recognised professional accountancy body (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience

Skills, and Experience:
•Technically strong and up to date with current accounting standards and practices. 
• Superior attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proven ability to handle pressures of strict cost/time parameters and deadlines. 
• Strong commitment to good corporate governance.
• Proficient in MS Office suite and equivalent accounting software. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. 
• Ambitious and driven to contribute to the company's success.
