Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Instrumentation & Controls
About the Company
We are currently working with one of Ireland’s leading clients, who specialise in energy for the commercial and industrial sector, who are looking to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer with experience in instrumentation and controls. They are currently looking to recruit a Senior Electrical Project Manager with experience power projects, to work on some of Ireland’s most exciting projects in the area of energy usage and utilities.
They specialise in large scale energy project across Ireland. Also working closely with mechanical team, you will provide electrical related solutions to major programs related to energy.
About the Position
This position focused on Electrical project management of large commercial programs, budget management, risks and issues related to building services.

Preparation of electrical engineering designs

Engineering studies using industry leading software.

Preparation of equipment specifications.
-
Technical evaluation of equipment offers. Technical report writing.

Development and agreement of project baselines (scope, cost, time).

Development of reports, KPI’s and dashboards
-
Represent the company to the client in all aspects of the projects.
-
Manage construction teams and project schedules.
-
Experience in the utilities industry
-
Technical engagement with external consultants, contractors, utilities and grid companies
Experience/Requirements
For this role you are required to have
-
5 years experience in an electrical design position
-
Degree in Electrical, instrumentation or electronics
-
Strong knowledge of MV and HV
-
Experience in instrumentation and controls
-
Knowledge of the technical specification design function
-
Project Management experience
-
Building Services experience
-
Bid and Tender experience.

Client and sub-contractor management
-
