About the Company
A large food company, based in South Dublin/North Wicklow, is currently looking to recruit a Supply Chain Manager to work with their team to manage their ever increasing supply chain needs and to manage and develop a function that can operate at the highest level or service for their clients. With numerous suppliers and consumers, this will be a very active and energetic role for someone who is looking to work within a department that operates efficiently and effectively, and is constantly looking to improve their process. You will take the lead on developing the supply chain/procurement function and to manage and develop the current team.
About the Position
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for all aspect of the supply chain function across the site. You will plan, regulate, and monitor the suppliers and work closely with the quality manager to ensure that produce is at the highest levels. The role will focus on managing efficiency improvements in the supply chain process. Working closely with all departments you will identify process improvement and cost management saving opportunities to help the overall success of the team.
Experience/Requirements
Within this role you will be involved in
- Manage the identification of cost savings, process efficiency and risk mitigation opportunities.
- Manage a bust Supply Chain department
- Strategic Sourcing of fresh product
- Internal client management
- External supplier audit
- Manage the vendor selection process
- Manage external supplier to ensure best practice of supply
- Manage negotiations with vendors/suppliers
- Operational efficiencies across the supply chain function
- Manage the supply chain risk and improve sustainability across the function
- Manage SLA’s and framework agreements where required.
For this role you are required to have;
- A min of 8 years in a Supply chain environment
- Experienced using Coupa
- A strategic thinker and experience in buying, procurement, contract management
- Experience in the food or FMCG sector would be an advantage.
- Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
