About the Position

As a Client Relationship Manager in Global Capital Markets (GCM), you'll handle the daily administration of diverse GCM accounts. Your role involves managing client relationships, overseeing operational activities, and ensuring compliance with policies. You'll serve as the main contact for clients, working with internal and external partners to achieve sustainable growth.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage client relationships and daily administration of assigned Global Capital Markets (GCM) accounts.
  • Serve as the main point of contact with clients and internal/external service partners.
  • Implement short and long-term strategies for sustainable earnings growth and compliance with strategic plans.
  • Monitor administrative and operational systems for accounts of varying complexity and risk.
  • Review, analyze, and provide comments on negotiation and drafting of operative documents for assigned accounts.
  • Coordinate activities related to monitoring risks and ensuring regulatory compliance with Legal, Risk, Compliance, and/or Audit.
  • Research and resolve issues related to control and client service aspects of assigned accounts promptly.
  • Work with external parties to structure and close GCM transactions.
  • Complete various account administration activities, including cash flow execution, fee billing, reporting, and tickler processing.
  • Participate in sales calls, prepare fee proposals, and evaluate fees for suitability and conformance with fee schedules.
  • Manage relationships, attend transaction closings, chair client meetings, and prepare relevant documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenues based on transaction knowledge and fees charged.
  • Implement approved fee increases, fee discounts, and waivers as per established controls and procedure.
  • Provide coverage and support for other Relationship Managers within the assigned Section/Unit during absence.
  • Represent GCM and/or lead departmental projects and Corporate initiatives periodically.
  • Assist management with the development and operation of business products and processes.
  • May supervise and/or mentor less experienced associates.
  • Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.
  • Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the Bank brand.
  • Maintain internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points and addressing issues raised by external regulators
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Experience/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years' client service experience in Global Capital Markets, or a combined minimum of 6 years of education/work experience, including 2 years in GCM.
  • Proficiency in personal computers and relevant software.
  • Experience in reading, analyzing, and interpreting legal documents.
  • Familiarity with corporate structures, laws, and regulations.
  • Proven problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Preferred:

  • CCTS (Certified Corporate Trust Specialist) certification.
  • Working knowledge of specialized internal software applications.
  • Managerial or leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated sense of ownership in previous jobs or projects.
