About the Company

Expansion of Ireland’s water system has been a long talked about topic and we are now working with a consultancy who have secured a number of projects in this area.
They are currently looking to recruit a Director of Senior Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental who can work with their client work on projects to enhance their capabilities in in the area of H&S or some of Irelands most anticipated projects.
This client is one of Europe’s leading names in water and engineering sectors and carry a reputation of quality and innovation in the areas of Project Management.  

About the Position

Working closely with all levels of management, across large programs, you will become the main central support in providing consulting advice and expertise in the area of Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental. You will assess the current strategy and processes and create a robust division who are experts in the area of Health & Safety (H&S) You will develop a team of experts in this specialism report at board level to the advancement of the program. This is a long-term role and will be one of Ireland’s important utilities and water related appointments.  

Experience/Requirements 

Within this role you are will:

  • Develop the strategy related to Health & Safety, Quality and Environment for the program.

  • Manage a team to succeed to the deliverables related to HSEQ

  • Reporting at board level you will be responsible for all H&S functionality on the program

  • Manage the Health & Safety function across the group .

  • Work closely with stakeholders and advise on best practice in H&S

  • Manage and develop a team of health and safety specialist.

  • You will be responsible for the QMS systems for the group.

  • Create monthly reports on H&S across each division

  • Take a proactive approach in regard to H&S and educate the company on policies and procedures.

For this role you are required to have:

  • 15 years experience in Health & Safety

  • A proven track record in large construction programs

  • A related degree in engineering or H&S. Ideally have a MSc

  • A related qualification, NBOSH, IOSH

  • An ability to educate people in the area of H&S

  • Experience in engineering and construction

  • Experience in utilities and Water programs would be a distinct advantage.

  • PSDP/PSCS experience

  • Consulting experience

  • A full drivers license



Remuneration Package

The client offers an excellent package along with benefits. They also offer pension and healthcare. They have also incorporated a hybrid model. The client is open to discussing package details on a case by case basis, depending on experience.
