About the Company

One of Ireland’s fastest growing contractors (GC) based in Dublin, is currently looking to recruit a Senior Souring Manager to work with their team to develop and manager their sourcing function for the construction programs across Europe. This client are a specialist in the date centre sector and pharmaceutical construction and operate all across Europe. With numerous stakeholders in play, this will be a very active role for someone who is looking to work within a company that operates efficiently and effectively. This role will help stream line an already efficient procurement function and aid this company to excel on projects for their clients across Europe

About the Position
Reporting to the supply Chain Director, the sourcing manager manger will plan, regulate, and monitor the sourcing process across all categories for their construction programs across Europe. The role will focus on managing efficiency improvements within the procurement process. Working closely with all departments you will identify process improvement and cost management saving opportunities to help the overall success of the company. You will identify new souring locations and suppliers and strive to get best cost on all related materials.

Experience/Requirements 

Within this role you will be involved in

• Key strategic decision making related to Sourcing

• Internal client management

• Manage the vendor selection process in the area of construction materials

• Manage external supplier to ensure best practice supply

• Manage negotiations with vendors/suppliers

• Operational efficiencies across the supply chain function

• Manage the interface between the client and the project teams and the supplier.

• Develop a stringent rebate management function

• Team Management across multi functions

• Manage the supply chain risk and improve sustainability across the function

• Operate in a cost-effective manner and represent the company across Europe.

• There will be travel involved in the role.

For this role you are required to have;

• A min of 8 years procurement experience.

• Experience working in a construction environment

• Experienced working in a continuous improvement environment 

• A strategic thinker and experience in planning

• Ideally experience at a European level.

• Strong Negotiating skills

• Experience with SAP or Power BI

• Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
