About the Company

We are currently working with a specialist engineering company who develop, design and manufacture machinery for the pharmaceutical and medical devices industry. They have grown a specialised production and manufacturing business that has now expanded to clients across the world. They are in a phase of expansion and require and specialist Electrical Engineer who has experience in hi-tech equipment manufacturing.

About the Position

Working as an essential part of the R&D team the Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, development and installation of high end manufacturing, including commissioning and product development. You will work closely with clients on what is required from a design stage right through to deliver, commissioning and production.

 

Within the role you will be involved in

  • Develop electrical designs, schematics and layouts for new machinery designs using AutoCAD software.

  • Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers to ensure electrical aspects integrate with the machinery

  • Assembly and  testing of  electrical systems and components.

  • Troubleshooting and repair of electrical issues during machine development and testing phases.

  • Lead the commissioning of new machines at customer sites.

  • Site inspections and provide technical support during the commissioning process.

  • Prepare detailed technical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams etc.

  • Ensure all designs and installations adhere to EN 60204 standards.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

  • Provide regular updates to the R&D Manager on project progress and challenges.

  • Ensure all projects are carried out with safety being of paramount importance.


Experience/Requirements

For this role you are required to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

  • 3-5 years of experience in electrical design and hands-on electrical work, preferably in the pharmaceutical or related industries.

  • Proficiency in CAD software, SolidWorks, EPLAN, etc

  • Knowledge of electrical standards and regulations, particularly EN 60204.

  • Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control systems.

  • Strong organisational and documentation skills.

Remuneration Package
The client offers an excellent package along with pension. They also offer a shortened week if hours are covered.
