Project Coordinator

About the Company

We are currently working with one of Ireland’s leading clients, who specialise in energy for the commercial and industrial sector, who are looking to recruit two portfolio programme coordinators for an immediate start. These roles are hybrid, based in Cork, and are initially 122 month temporary contracts.

 

About the Position

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that supporting project information provided by stakeholders, including technical justifications, business cases, and program plans, meets the criteria outlined in the Portfolio Governance Checklist

  • Lead the preparation and drafting of submission papers and templates, as well as board submission documents.

  • Identify and document key approval considerations and financial risks, escalating concerns related to funding or unit costs to the Portfolio Program Manager.

  • Provide expert program advice and support, contributing to regular reviews of program and project progress, including budgets, changes, risks, and issues.

  • Collaborate with Project Delivery Managers and Leads to ensure compliance with governance requirements and project completion checklists.

  • Proactively investigate and address escalated delivery issues, problems, and risks within the program.

  • Support budget preparation processes in coordination with the Investment Planning & Governance teams.

  • Facilitate effective communication and consultation across Asset Delivery and Asset Operations teams.

  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement in portfolio delivery.


Experience/Requirements
 
  • Relevant degree in engineering, project management, or a related field (or equivalent qualification).

  • At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in a similar role, with a focus on infrastructure projects or maintenance programs.

  • Proven expertise in program management, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Ability to:

    • Assist in coordinating high-priority capital and operational expenditure programs with multiple complex stakeholders.

    • Support Program Managers in implementing efficient processes and best practices.

    • Address issues within the program, acting as a key point of coordination.

  • Strong team player with a demonstrated ability to bring teams together and collaborate effectively.

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with a proven ability to achieve results through others.

  • A results-driven individual with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service through effective collaboration.

 

Remuneration Package

This is a temporary role with a salary of approx. 60,0000 per annum.
