Contracts Manager – NEC Contracts – Rail Infrastructure
About the Company
Our client, one of Ireland's largest employers, is currently looking to recruit a Contracts Administration Manager with NEC Contracts experience to manage the delivery of contractual aspects of a large rail related programs and capex project across Ireland.
This role involves managing all contract aspects across the capital works division and the planning and costing of projects across the rail network in Ireland.
They have one of the largest portfolios in the country and are looking to continue their expansion across this function over the next 10 years
These projects are essential development to their nationwide delivery, and it is paramount that they complete these projects on time and on budget. You will work with a very experienced team who are experts in large engineering infrastructure programs projects, and you will manage and guide them to success on this program. NEC Contract experience is essential for this role.
This is a very important time for the development of the rail network in Ireland and these projects are essential for the development of Irish infrastructure
About the Position
Within this role you will be involved in
- Work closely with the Commercial and Planning Manager in the development and delivery strategies for rail programs.
- Ensuring the contractual terms and conditions are being adhered to and fulfilled in line with the requirements of the awarded contracts.
- Manage the compliance aspect in the execution of the contract administration activities.
- Manage commercial relationships
- Work closely with Contractors and Consultants on the framework.
- Review draft contracts, ensuring they are fit for purpose and tailor to project requirements, along with co-ordinating inputs from advisors where required (e.g. legal, technical, financial).
- Assist in contract negotiations and provide guidance to Project Manager.
- Manage the auditing of the contractor’s and consultant’s accounts
- Assist in the review and approve Contractors and Consultants performance evaluations.
- Develop and administer an NEC administration process
Experience/Requirements
For this role you are required to have:
- Experience in a contracts administration position
- Experience in NEC Contracts
- 5-10 years’ experience in contracts administration
- Experience in managing budgets and capital investment
- A related qualification in engineering. Quantity Surveying/Civil/Planning/Commercial
- Chartered Engineer or a member of Engineers Ireland
- Commercial management ability
- Sustainable development
- Experience with CWMF and NEC forms of contract
- You will have a background in project delivery
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to negotiate where needed.
Remuneration Package
Remuneration is dependent on industry experience and qualifications.
