About the Company

My client is an established 3 partner-chartered accountancy firm based in, Co Meath.  With an impressive database of clients, they have been providing quality-chartered accountancy services for over 30 years. They have a broad range of clients both in terms of audit, non-audit, sole trader etc. and in terms of industry/sector type.
 

About the Position

Due to rapid growth, they are looking to add to their team an Audit and Accounts Senior.  This role also offers a 4 day  week  with hybrid working for the successful candidate.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational supervision of assignments with a specific focus on audit, resourced from a combined pool of staff to achieve client satisfaction combined with targeted operational deliverables
  • Management of the firm's relationship with clients including service delivery and co-ordination of service offerings from other departments
  • Involvement in training of student trainees
  • Preparation and presentation of reports to clients and partners on request.
  • Preparation and Completion of audit/audit exempt financial statements
  • Preparation of tax returns – primarily Corporation Tax/IXBRL for review
  • Preparation of budgets and cash flow projections
  • Dealing with miscellaneous inquiries from clients, banks, Revenue etc and also Revenue audits
  • Preparation of Working Papers (paperless) & Financial Statements in accordance with
  • Relevant Procedures and Standards
  • Investigate all issues on assignments to arrive at a solution or proposal
  • Ensure completion of assignments within appropriate budget and timeframe
  • Carry out assignments in a timely, professional and efficient manner
  • Achieve fee targets for assigned portfolio
  • Prepare technical briefs and checklists for staff and clients 

Experience/Requirements

  • Qualified ACCA/ACA accountant with experience of working in a practice environment
  • An in-depth knowledge of Accounting and Auditing Standards
  • Currently working as a senior in a practice environment
  • Experience of operational supervision of assignments and managing of client relationships
  • Some tax experience desirable
  • CCH Accounts Production
  • Excel (Intermediate/Advanced preferable)
  • DRIVE (Practice Management and client database)
  • Virtual Cabinet (Document Management System)
  • Sage Line 50 (most common client accounting system)
  • Must have a full driver’s license and car

Remuneration Package

  • Salary €55,000-€65,000
  • 10 % bonus
  • 4 day week 
  • Hybrid working and early finish on Fridays
  • Paid membership fees
  • Flexible working hours
  • Annual leave
