About the Position

They are looking to add to their team an Accounts Assistant. This role is a great opportunity for someone wanting to develop and grow in their career. The role involves accounting services for both their Irish and UK legal entities and consolidated reporting across both entities. This is a unique chance to learn about group companies and international accounting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounting of supplier invoices, reconciliation with receipt and resolution of problems
  • General Expense Accounting
  • Preparation of VAT / Intrastat / ESL returns
  • Issuance of sales invoices - reconciliation and checking with shipments
  • Maintenance of customers and suppliers accounts
  • Accounting of receipts and payments
  • Track accounts receivable.
  • Monthly cash statement and preparation of Treasury forecasts
  • Cash management and accounting
  • Provision of information and support to tax advisors
  • Provision of information and support to external auditors
  • Supporting other departments, providing information and reports whenever required
  • Support month-end and year-end close process

Experience/Requirements

  • Experience of more than 2 year in accounting department. Desirable some audit exposure but not essential
  • Proficient knowledge of the Windows environment and particularly Excel spreadsheets.
  • ERP management Experience with SAP / Xero desirable.
  • Ability to relate to people.
  • Technical and professional knowledge
  • Analytical attitude
  • Ability to handle many varied activities.
  • Strong organizational ability
  • Graduate or Diploma in Economics or Business and/or part qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA

Remuneration Package

  • Salary €40,000-€48,000 DOE
  • Company Pension
  • Bonus
