About the Position
The successful candidate will partner with Global Manufacturing and Supply (GMS) business to drive the design, deployment and support of global GMS Lab systems that fall within their assigned capability remit, supporting to achieve the client’s GMS Digital Transformation.
The role requires strong interpersonal skills, collaboration, working in a matrix organization and strong domain knowledge. Strategically acting as the Tech & Digital Business Partner and collaborating with cross functional teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

Platform Leadership: Oversee end-to-end operations for Deploy, Enhance, and Run activities within an established global IT operating model, collaborating with managed service providers and support teams.

Project Management: Act as a project manager, ensuring timely execution, budget management, and forecasting.

Team Leadership: Lead a small team of IT professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.

Talent Development: Establish programs to attract, retain, and develop skilled professionals.

Service Management: Align operating models with global IT teams, manage contract labor, negotiate software/service contracts, and oversee governance for incident and change management.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with key stakeholders to implement scalable, innovative solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and digital transformation goals.

Digital Transformation: Lead initiatives to address capability gaps, implement digital tools, and align investments and projects with leadership and project management teams.

Communication & Change Management: Engage stakeholders, articulate business value, and support cultural change in digital strategy.

Data & Analytics Integration: Ensure solutions align with enterprise data architecture and operational standards.

Strategic Planning: Support annual operating plans and prioritize digital technology analytics projects.

Legacy System Transformation: Drive productivity by standardizing data and analytics solutions, retiring legacy systems, and overseeing approved transitions.
Experience/Requirements
Education & Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.

10+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, specializing in Lab and Quality systems within dynamic, growth-oriented environments.
Technical Skills & Requirements
-
Proven success in delivering innovative Lab IT systems and establishing strong end-to-end program management standards.

Experience with Lab-related software development lifecycle, application support, IT infrastructure, and system design.

Knowledge of system development methodologies and compliance requirements (e.g., SGMP).

Understanding of manufacturing and supply business environments, preferably within the life sciences, biopharma, or animal health industries.

Financial management expertise, supporting project management and forecasting tools such as Apptio.

Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with IT and business leaders.

Strong communication skills for effective participation in business discussions and planning.

Skilled in negotiation and collaboration across IT and business teams.

Relationship management expertise, acting as a trusted partner and advisor to ensure high customer satisfaction.
