Financial Accountant

Our Client is are looking for a talented Financial Accountant to join their team. They are a leading manufacturer for the pharmaceutical industry. They are based on West Dublin with  a great culture and offer flexible hybrid working.
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of the financial operations. You will work closely with the CFO, Financial Controller and the wider finance team to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting, manage internal controls, and support with various key initiatives.
What you will do:

  • Prepare and ensure the accuracy of monthly management accounts and variance reporting, complying with local GAAP.
  • Ensure complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions, particularly focusing on contract revenues, margins and new ERP system data integrity.
  • Implement and maintain appropriate controls over accounting and financial processes, including preparation or review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Oversee the year-end external audit process, manage the preparation of annual audit files and ensure all annual compliance filings are completed on time.
  • Manage all tax and regulatory filings.
  • Participate in risk and treasury management activities as required.
  • Undertake company secretarial duties as needed.
  • Support with acquisition activities when required.
  • Collaborate with the team to optimize the use of finance-related IT systems, maximizing the potential of the ERP and other available software.
  • Participate in relevant project work on key strategic initiatives.
You are the ideal candidate if you have:
  • A qualified Accountant certification with experience in financial reporting, consolidation, audit liaison and internal controls.
  • A strong understanding of local and international GAAP.
  • The ability to work independently and deliver results within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with key stakeholders.
  • A proven track record of working collaboratively to achieve common goals.
  • Strong prioritization and time management skills to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and financial reporting systems.
