Operations Manager – Energy & Power

About the Company

Our client, one of Irelands largest employers, is currently looking to recruit a Production/Operations Manager with an engineering background to manage the delivery of a power plant in Offaly.
This role involves operational management of the site and maintaining a constant flow of power, that’s is then sold to the grid. This is a biomass facility
You will work with a very experienced team who are experts in large engineering infrastructure power management, biomass, gas turbines etc and you will manage and guide them to ensure a contact flow on power is produced on this facility. Planning, and production planning is an essential aspect of this program as daily and weekly targets need to be met.

About the Position

Within this role you will be involved in
 

• Managing Operations on the site

• Safety Management

• Manage stake holder relationships through the project lifecycle

• Team leading and team management

• Report to board on production development

• Maintenance Management

• Production management to ensure there is a contact flow of power produced.

• Generate regular reports on the site status and recommend improvement to the plant..

Experience/Requirements 
For this role you are required to have:

• Extensive operational experience in a production environment.

• A related qualification in engineering.

• Commercial management ability

• Sustainable development

• Experience in the power sector would be an advantage

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to negotiate where needed.

Remuneration Package
Remuneration is dependent on industry experience and qualifications.
